Open Stitching and Glittering Kimono.  We're starting off the year continuing with the 2009 SOTM Tony Minieri Glittering Kimono.  Bring the kimono and show off the latest areas you stitched.  We'll be showing Areas 3 & 4 and discussing beginning Areas 5 & 6 this month. This will be an exciting time to see what has been accomplished on the kimonos after the holiday break.  If you are new or just visiting, this will give you a chance to learn about what the chapter is doing this year.  Also, we will turn in our new "IFI" list for the year.  Hope to see you there.

Joan Thomasson Workshop Projects.  In early February, we had the honor of having Joan Thomasson teach two classes which we really enjoyed and learned a great deal.  At the meeting tonight, we will share how much progress we have made on the projects as well as any other Joan pieces we have stitched.  Join us to see what great designs Joan always comes up with.

Signature Sampler Show & Swap.  Open Stitching and Glittering Kimono (Show and Share areas 5 & 6 and Discuss Areas 7 & 8).  As we move toward the completion of this project, it is interesting to see how the colors come together as each area is completed.  Come take a look at what we have accomplished.

In February, the Nominating Committee announced the slate of officers for the coming two years.  We'll vote on the new slate this month.  Nominations will be taken from the floor if you have prior permission from the nominee.  Come and make your vote heard.

Poinsettia.  This month we will begin a project from the ANG Chapter Book, Poinsettia Laid Filling Sampler.  This project was suggested several months ago and we decided we would stitch it with a few changes from what was suggested in the Chapter Book.  Supplies and the necessary ecru canvas with gold flecks will be listed in the next newsletter.  Susan is ordering the canvas from Patches and will have info on adding your name to the list of stitchers who want the canvas. 

Open Stitching / Glittering Kimono. The new officers will begin new terms this month.

Fob Feast and Signature Sampler Finished!  Bring your finished sampler and show off the completed project.  This will be an exciting time to see what has been accomplished on the samplers.  We can't wait to see how your sampler has been finished.  The meeting will start at 6:30 pm and do not forget to bring a snack to share.  The Board will provide the drinks.  If you are new or just visiting, this will give you a chance to learn about what the chapter is doing this year.  If you have a lurking UFO, bring it to get some help, encouragement, or just to show it off.  Hope to see you there.

Open Stitching and Glittering Kimono. 

Tony Minieri's Glittering Kimono is finished this month!!!  This program came from the 2009 ANG Stitch of the Month series.  It was taught by Emily Caneer.  This is a beautiful design and this will gave you a chance to enjoy Tony's use of stitches and color to produce a magnificent final piece.  We can't wait to see the finished projects!
